what did I learn this year

A few reflections:

  • problems happen; mitigation plans are the next step and turns a failure into a success

  • having your heart in it (or your mind) does in fact make a difference

  • if you work hard, relax easy; no one will give you a break like yourself

  • protect your people ahead of your projects, and you’ll still get there

and also:

  • “enough is as good as a feast” - Kim Stanley Robinson, and also Sir Thomas Mallory?

  • missing someone is a form of love and sharing that feeling is a form of bonding

  • your hobbies do not have to be monetized to be valuable

  • you need to have a relationship with yourself before you can change yourself

  • time really does move more quickly the older you get

  • carry an umbrella on rainy days

  • putting yourself first doesn’t mean you’re putting others down

  • clean the apartment, your space shapes your mood

  • there isn’t enough compassion out there; cultivate yours

I’m wishing you all a restful and fun end of year, and peace for all.
